| Here is a table on which you can put
a client's telephone numbers, and which -- for some people -- is an
easy way to access phone numbers using the cctv. To load it in click
HERE
with your left mouse button, or you can right-click the link and save the
file on your hard drive. If you plan to print this for your client,
I suggest that you save it to your hard drive and then load it into Word,
for better printing success. Using the table can be a little tricky, but it isn't hard once you get the hang of it. Load in the table and notice that I have put several bogus names under ABC and DEF in the first column. Try placing your cursor to the right of Bob Blow's number and then hit enter. You see that the whole table grows by a space in height and you can type in another name and a number on that line. By placing all of the client's names under the appropriate alphabetical designations, you can fit quite a few numbers on one page. Note that you don't want the bottom line of the table to jump to the next page, When that happens, hit backspace to make the bottom of table come back to the current page. you then have to stop putting in names under a particular alphabetical heading and switch to the next column of the table to continue that alphabetical section.. Once you have all of the names under their proper alphabetical headings, you can drag the horizontal lines that are spread out on the screen below the table, one at a time, and place them as separators between the alphabetical sections. What do I mean by drag? Just place your cursor over one of the horizontal lines and it will turn into a cross with little arrows on all four ends. If you then hold your left mouse button down, you can drag that line and place it where you want on the table, just like the one that is there between ABC and DEF. |
