I always
have had a hard time getting cane tips off when I either need to
replace one, or change to another type of tip. The other day I
came upon a method that works quite well. I found that the open
end of a 14 milemeter box wrench (I
think its called that) pictured below on the left.
On the right is a short movie that shows the process. Be paitent until
the movie downloads -- could take a few seconds (or minutes if you have dialup.)
I think you must have QuickTime installed to watch this movie, but I am
not sure. Just in case you can't, the end of the 14
milimeter wrench fits nicely over the shaft of a standard cane. I
f it is slid down quickly until it contacts the rim of the tip a few
times, the tip pops off quite easily.
