A good way to stretch a consumers rehab budget is to use a fishing bobber, instead of a battery operated liquid level indicator for some of your low vision clients.  It doesn't work for everyone -- the person must have enough vision to see the bobber protruding from the top cup.  I have had several clients who where very happy with this system and a bag of six of them is only about $2.00.
